Pavlova

0

Oh sweet pavlova!

This unholy trinity of meringue, whipped cream and strawberries is the bomb!

Let's get started, shall we?

Check out how to make the meringue baskets here. Simply pipe a 1 and 1/2 " circle to form a basket like meringue with a base of course.

Whip up double cream and icing sugar till it forms soft peeks.

Quarter the strawberries and let it set in a about a tablespoon of sugar to let the juices flow. Leave aside for a good 20 mins.

Once the meringue baskets have cooled down, lets get the magic going.

Place down the basket.

Scoop a spoon full of the whipped cream onto the meringue basket.

Top it off with those already sweetened strawberries.

Drizzle a little of that glorious strawberry juice over it.

Say a prayer and dig in.

Rice Krispie Treats

0

Somehow this keeps coming up as a suggested pin on my PINterest page. So well, I decided to try it. Rice krispie treats! How hard can it be right? And I was right, it really is easy!

All you'll need is,
3 tbspns butter
4 cups small marshmallow
6 cups rice krispies
vanilla essence

Lined a boxed pan with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large bowl, melt the butter.
Add the marshmallow and stir until completely melted.
To this add a tspn of vanilla essence.
Add your rice crispies and mix well until completely covered in the marshmallow mix.
Evenly spread this onto the lined pan and press gently.
Leave it to set for about 2o mins.
Cut into squares or any desired shape.

I cut mine into hearts and drizzled some chocolate over them. Also the ones I made are slightly pink cos the only marshmallows I had in hand were small pink ones. Maybe you can even add food coloring to this recipe. With all this, there is an endless possibility of rice krispie treats.

Chocolate Lace Lollies

0

Hey there lovelies! Here's a super fun, super easy and super cute post, exclusively up for the upcoming Valentine's day.

Adapted by POPSUGAR, I made these super cute lace lollies with candy melts. Blaming Valentine's Day, I used red candy melts.

Ingredients:
Red candy melts (I bought mine from Hobbycraft)
Lollipop sticks
Simply melt the candy melts (any colour works good) in the micowave or double boiler making sure that the bowl is not touching the surface of the boiling water under that. Once melted, scoop it all into a piping bag and snip off the end making a small tip. On parchment paper line the lollipop sticks leaving a good space between each stick. Go ahead and pipe away around the stick in concentric circles overlapping helping it to hold together.

This can also be done using any chocolate of your choice.

Go ahead and do try them out!
